The pioneers in watchmaking
Unique innovation creates new standards
In its uncompromising quest for absolute mechanical perfection, Eterna has developed pioneering solutions for centuries-old watchmaking challenges in the course of it more than 150-year brand history and thus set new standards time and again. With the invention in 1948 of the Eterna-Matic, the ball-bearing mounted rotor system that reduces friction, Eterna revolutionised automatic movements. Further milestones include the recently created Eterna Spherodrive ball-bearing mounted barrel rotor system, which has established hitherto unachievable standards with regard to quality and longevity in mechanical movements, as well as the Calibre 39. Thanks to its ingenious modular design, this basic movement can be used to create 88 different movement versions.

8-Day form movement
This movement served as the inspiration for the development of the Caliber 3510.

Ladies' baguette movement
The smallest of its time: the calibre 610, series manufactured baguette movement dating from 1930. Eterna caused a sensation with this extremely small movement (dimensions: 7.25 mm x 22.5 mm).

Calibre 6036
There had never been a chronograph with a stop display based on a combined mechanical and digital design. Hence, an entirely new movement was designed and built. With some 800 individual components, the Eterna Calibre 6036 is the world‘s most complex series-manufactured watch movement.
2006

Calibre 3030
In 2006, the Eterna watchmakers decided to rework the Calibre 1504, dating from 1974, in order to create the current Calibre 3030. The refined, domed movement served as the basis. Only a minimal number of details were changed with the help of state-of-the-art technologies, and a large date display with two discs was added.
2007

Calibre 6037
Unique and stunningly simple. Thanks to its Eterna proprietary-manufactured 6037 automatic movement with unparalleled world time function – which powers the mechanically driven digital display of an alternate time zone – it is the perfect companion for cosmopolitans. Simply pressing a pusher transfers the alternate time zone to the hands.
2009

Calibre 3505
A half-century after the Eterna Matic, its historic mating of the winding rotor and the ball bearing, comes another technical break- through from Eterna. Its innovative Eterna Spherodrive ball bearing seating of the barrel and barrel arbor eliminates practically every drawback of the centuries-old system it replaces.
2010

Calibre 3510
Mounted on ball bearings in Eterna Spherodrive fashion, the 3510 movement’s two series-coupled barrels provide eight full days of exceptionally smooth and regular operation.
2012

Calibre 3843
This new movement follows the introduction of hand-wound Calibres 3505 and 3510. Also equipped with the Eterna Spherodrive, it is self-winding and round.
2013

Calibre 39
Further milestones include the most recently designed Calibre 39 movement. Thanks to its ingenious modular design, this basic movement can be used to create 88 different movement versions.
